WHO WE ARE
Rhythmic Force Percussion is a 501(c)(3) non-profit theatrical percussion ensemble based in Austin, Texas. We are committed to developing performers into leaders-—individuals who are prepared to succeed not only in marching arts, but in any path they choose.
Through a culture rooted in Integrity, Education, and Community, our members learn to operate with purpose, accountability, and discipline. The skills developed here—teamwork, time management, communication, and ownership—extend far beyond the floor, shaping how our members lead in their careers, their communities, and their lives.
At Rhythmic Force, we are not just training performers—we are building the next generation of leaders.
CORE TENETS
Integrity
Our word is our bond. We hold ourselves to a high standard of execution, accountability, and follow-through in everything we do. Integrity means doing the right thing—consistently‚ whether anyone is watching or not. It’s how we build trust within our ensemble, with our community, and in the way we carry ourselves beyond Rhythmic Force.
Education
Our members and staff arrived prepared—we exist to elevate them. Through a culture of accountability, exploration, and high-level instruction, we push performers to think deeper, grow faster, and lead the evolution of the activity. Education isn’t about where you start—it’s about defining what comes next.
Community
We are stronger because of the people around us and the people who built us. Rhythmic Force was created on a culture of connection, mutual respect, and shared responsibility. Every member of the organization contributes to something bigger than themselves—supporting one another, representing our organization with pride, and leaving a lasting impact on the surrounding communities we engage.
TWO DECADES OF PEOPLE + PERCUSSION
In the Spring of 2004, Rhythmic Force Percussion was founded with the goal of providing a unique educational experience to percussion students who could not afford the costs associated with participating in other ensembles in the central Texas area. Rhythmic Force brought students from around the Austin area together to expand their knowledge and abilities in percussion while having the opportunity to perform at multiple community events – including parades, business events, and marathons.
In the Summer of 2011, Rhythmic Force turned its focus towards creating a competitive program that would compete in the indoor winter drumline arena. Rhythmic Force made its debut in the Texas Color Guard Circuit (TCGC) in 2012 and was named the State Champion for Independent Marching Class A. In 2014, Rhythmic Force entered its first Winter Guard International (WGI) competition, and celebrated their first appearance at WGI Championships in 2015. Rhythmic Force is now a consistent WGI Independent Open Finalist, finishing in the top-10 at World Championships in the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
2022 was a landmark year for our organization: after successfully weathering the pandemic and producing a class-leading virtual/in-person show in 2021, we moved up to the World Class bracket and placed 14th in WGI Independent World Finals.
